View solution in context. This is correct. I am on my 2nd note 9, as I dropped and ran over the 1st one with a Ford E cargo van. Never had issue with the 1st, the second would not download any theme, not free, not previously downloaded. Hope it helps you guys. I have the same problem. It would be nice if someone actually answered your post.
Sorry I'm just adding to the question. I had the same problem with the exact same phone. If you go into settings and select apps, you'll see all your apps that are missing from the home screen and main app menu are still installed.
Also, if you haven't disabled your side menu for quick access from the home screen you can place your finger on the right side of your screen and swipe left.
This will show you your recently closed apps only two or three as well as a shortcut menu. At the bottom left of this menu, you can open your apps and they will all be there with their icons.
However, in my case, the problem was simply the game launcher app. I noticed that it was only game apps that were hidden missing icons. I opened game launcher from the app menu and opened settings. It was set to only show games in the launcher as a default setting. I had to change this so my games would be visible on the home screen and main app menu. This fixed the issue.
So check your app settings. Hi, Since the latest major update Oreo I've been unable to update any of the Galaxy Apps, when ANY app is attempted to be updated it will prepare, download and then fail with the attached error.
Any help appreciated Thanks Solved! All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. Accepted Solutions. Eltas Pathfinder. Try uninstalling updates on the Galaxy Store or disable the app itself and then re enable it it seems to have an internal error - and then reopen Galaxy Apps and hopefully the Store itself will update properly, then allowing you to update apps. Glad it worked out for you Seen similar posts dotted about.
